 MY APPROACH TO          COUNSELLING

My background as an experienced educator and mother, and my daily interactions with students and my two teenage sons, have given me a deep and rich context from which to counsel. I have always wanted the teens in my life to be the best they can be, and I understand their goals of self-improvement. It is my hope that I am able to recognize and cultivate the potential in others. I believe that all people aspire to be the best person they can be, and it is experiencing obstacles in life that help us learn and develop into our fullest selves. My life experiences in growing up the oldest child, to a sister with physical limitations, have led me to a place where I never judge and only try to understand. It also has led me to receive my certificate in Inclusive Education, and love and value for human uniqueness and individuality. When my sister and mother both died at a young age, it encouraged me to pursue universal questions, and I approach counselling with an open mind, intense value for all human life, and a desire to live in the moment. My counselling practice evaluates the best plan of action, in an orderly manner, for your success. I will create a road map, toward our destination and I want to hear your story.

If wanting to have sessions covered through insurance, please check your insurance provider before you make an appointment for full or partial coverage. I can provide a “no charge” invoice for you to submit to your insurance plan for verification. Pay attention to the wording when you create a claim. Counselling is covered under mental health or psychological services in addition to the term counselling. Often an insurance company may not have the exact term counselling, but it will be covered under an alternate claim title. You can also request your employer to approve counselling services.
